Philatelic Study Circles and Organisations, abroad specialised in Indian Philately
Currently two organisations / Study Circles, specialised in Indian Philately are active in foreign countries. One of them is the India Study Circle for Philately. It was established in 1950 in United Kingdom. ISC is most active study group for serious students of philately of the Indian sub-continent. The ISC magazine India Post is published four times a year, in full colour.
Another is organisation is Forschungsgemeinschaft Indien e. V. (India postal history and philately Study Circle) from Germany. It was established in 1970. This organisation is dealing with the philately and postal history of the Indian Subcontinent, the countries of the Himalayas and the countries and areas having been administered by an Indian postal authority of for any time. This society is the only German society studying the philately of the Indian subcontinent. The society's journal Indien-Report is published twice or three times a year. Currently society is having 93 members.
